How Can We Help?
392 Series – Replacing motor
some versions of 392 Series has motor built-in in between diverter valve and mixing valve. When the motor is having issue (leaking or not functional), the motor needs to be replaced.
Step 1 – Loosen the Diverter Valve and Mixing Valve
The mixing valve and diverter valve must be loosened before removing the motor as it creates room to proceed.
Please loosen the mixing valve and diverter valve from the front.

Remove the front trim and use a wrench to loosen and unscrew the diverter valve from the front, then pull it out completely. Once the diverter valve is removed, loosen the mixing valve if needed and pull the motor straight out from the front.

Step 2 – Disconnect Diverter Valve
The diverter valve must be disconnect before the motor can be taken out, as it needs to be pulled out first.

Step 3 – Remove Diverter Valve and Replace the Motor
- While holding the parts together, rotate the locking arm or clip on the body so it snaps over the mating section. This prevents the parts from backing out.
- Visually confirm the gap between the two housings is minimal and even all around.
- pull out from mixing valve below the motor
- Repeat Step 2 to reconnect hoses and position the diverter valve

Step 4 – Put all parts back for the Knobs
To install the nuts component back – align it with the mounting holes on the panel and press it firmly into place. Once seated, use a wrench to carefully tighten the fitting until it is secure, being careful not to over-torque the plastic.
