  1. Use a wrench to loosen the connection points
  2. Use a screwdriver or chisel to gently tap the screw-cap-like fitting until it lossens
  3. Twist it off by hand and replace it with a new one
  4. once the new one is installed, simply reverse the steps to re-assemble
