I am a builder, so I feel like I have a pretty good background on the value and quality of sinks. This sink has done nothing but impress me. When our kitchen remodel had gone over it’s $40k budget due to some unforeseen aditional issues we had to try to make our money count but without ruining the end goal so we decided to take a chance on this sink because of the good reviews, and the specs. I have flipped a number of houses, from low end to high end, and I know that gauge and sound deadening are big issues to me. This sink is as good as the $1000 sinks we were looking at and even with my 30% contractor discount this sink was still way less expensive. We’ve had it for about 2 months and I’m still as satisfied as day 1. Some people have complained that it can scratch, all I can say to that us I’ve never seen a stainless sink that can’t. If you clean in the direction of the grain in the metal it should look awesome for many years. Take a look at the pictures to know what type of kitchen this went into.

Sink is awesome, and grate that it comes with is a very good bonus! The sink is HUGE. Only downside is it does seem a little easy to scratch, but the grate will help out a lot with that. Also, the sound deadening on this sink is great! Almost no noise at all, which is impressive for a stainless steel sink.
The main reason I bought this particular sink was it was the only sink of this size I found that was reviewed to fit into a 30″ IKEA sink cabinet. The rest of the sinks had a maximum basin width of 26″. The addition 2″ on this sink (28″ total) is a big difference.

I got this sink specifically to go in an IKEA 30″ base cabinet, to maximize the size of the sink and a lot of the other options in this size are much more expensive. If that is what you are looking to do, I recommend it as it’s basically a perfect fit (I uploaded a picture of how it sits in the IKEA cabinet). I did not modify the cabinet – the stone installers didn’t have any issue with how it sat and just shimmed the counter to keep everything level. It looks great and the accessories seem to be good quality. You can pile a lot of dishes in this thing. Washing large baking sheets/cutting boards, no problem. You can also comfortably bathe a baby/cat/small-medium dog in it. It is almost too deep. As other people have mentioned, if you are planning to use it with a garbage disposal you should measure carefully and make sure there is room for all the plumbing.

It may sound silly, but I love this sink! It is well made, i.e., solid, and the insulation for the sound proofing is sensational! I thought my former sink was good quality, but in comparison to this Home Budget it’s incredibly inferior. With the disposal running, it’s quiet and solid…zero vibrations!
Home Budgete also provides a grid which is a benefit insofar as protecting the finish (the towel is cute too!). And, oh my gosh….the size of this sink accommodates cookie sheets, large pots and pans, and two cute puppy dogs who love their baths (not with the pots and pans and cookie sheets though)!
The delivery was swift. I had Amazon deliver it directly to the granite fabricators. The entire transaction was flawless and adds style to my new kitchen.
I looked at sinks that cost up to twice the amount of the Home Budget. None of them “wowed” me. Therefore, after reading the reviews here on Amazon, I took a leap of faith and ordered it. I knew I wanted a single bowled sink and I wanted SS. In the end, I have no regrets and I’m thrilled I made this decision…don’t cha love it when that happens??!!

Thank you to the reviewers who posted photos and rave reviews, especially the contractor. We were shopping for a new stainless steel sink and received quotes of $1000+ for a similar size and gauge. It’s also great because the soundproofing material is already integrated so it’s not tinny sounding.
We have had it installed for two months and love it. We also bought a Home Budget faucet and are very happy with the combo. I was worried that the sink may be too deep for me (I’m 5’2″) but it’s fine. We also like that we can clear off the table and “hide” the dirty dishes in the sink while entertaining.
The grate that comes with it is fantastic–items we hand wash we set inside to dry. It works really well.

his was similar to comparable brands but was hundreds less. It is extremely well built, very well insulated for sound and looks great.
In the vein of full disclosure, the first unit we received had a small bend on the mounting lip and had to be returned. Amazon provided a no-hassle return and we had the replacement within two days. The second unit was perfect.
One of the debates we had was whether to buy this larger single bowl or go with one of the popular double bowl configurations. Obviously we decided on the large, deep single bowl and are so glad we did. Having the large bowl with the grate at the bottom is that we can prepare messy food right in the sink without messing the countertops. I didn’t realize how much I’d enjoy the roominess compared to our old double bowl porcelain sink. This one is much deeper than our old one and was a concern, but we actually like the depth. The only thing about such a deep sink is that the plumber needed to make some adjustments to make sure the draining fit and functioned properly.

I’m a designer/builder and over the past few years we’ve switched almost exclusively to Home Budget sinks for our projects. The grade/quality of the steel (304) and 16 gauge thickness make these sinks comparable to much more expensive brand names such Franke and Blanco, yet at a far more reasonable price. I’ve noticed a few reviews on here about the sinks scratching easily – please note that almost all of higher-end sinks use the *exact* same steel as these Home Budget sinks, so those other brands scratch just as easily. (I know as we’ve installed a couple of hundred over the past 25 years) As with those higher-end brands we always recommend our clients purchase the steel grids that are available for the bottom of the sink, which really helps to minimize scratches
